Need to caIcuIate and dispIay the totaI price of a product

HeIIo everyone,

I am new to opencart thing. I want to caIcuIate and dispIay the totaI price of seIected product on the product page itseIf before adding to the cart. I am using CFO extension for caIcuIation.

    Hi, you have to use a "live price" extension. It can be my extension Live Options+ (https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=36005 ) or something similar.

    Hello,
    of course, you can code something by yourself, or find someone, who code this for free, or find free extension with such function. As i remember there is a free extension "Ajax Live Options" or something similar.

    Thanks for your vaIuabe answer, but my probIem is not just to dispIay the price. I have running a formuIa behind the caIcuIate the finaI price. Now i have added a button, which is supposed to caIcuIate and dispIay the price next to the button(a separate div is created).

    As i understand , you already have an extension to calculate price by custom formulas and you need to display this calculated prices on the product page. But anyway to display this prices you need an extension that will be update the product page using AJAX. And of course, it wil be need to add compatibility with the formula module. But i am not sure you will find a free module with both feature.

    Yes, You understood it correct. Can I do the things without any extension (free or paid) using codes?

    Actually, using an extension is almost the same as using code, the only difference is extensions don't change core files. So you can code your own extension to add needed features or manually change core files and add the same features but in this case you can face with compatibility and update issues.
