Sales/Orders report which includes options
I want a report that shows orders, but includes not just products, but also product options.
My store sells clothing and I want to know what sizes people have ordered. Just knowing that 10 shirts have been ordered is no good - I need sizes (which is the only option I use on products).
I've searched extensions and community forum and not found anything.
This guy in 2012 was looking for the same thing, but seems he got no response - https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=66080
Any ideas?

The Sales Order report lists all open sales showing quantity ordered, quantity shipped, and quantity remaining to be shipped. You can specify to include sales orders that include all quantities or only those where the quantity shipped was not the same as the quantity ordered. - Date: You have the choice of All, Range, Today, This Period, and the week, month, period, quarter, and year to date. If you select Range, you can enter a beginning and ending date.
- Sort by: You can sort by sales order number, ship-by date, customer ID, or item ID.
- Select a filter: First, select a filter on the left. Then, define the options for that filter on the right. The options differ based on the filter selected. Tell me more about the types of filter options.

I’ve faced a similar issue with OpenCart before — the page loading would get stuck randomly, especially after installing certain extensions. One thing that helped me was checking error logs and disabling third-party modules one by one to isolate the problem. Also, optimizing database queries and enabling caching made a noticeable difference. If you're into tech tweaks, you might also enjoy this future tech — it’s a fun break when you need to cool off from debugging all day!

I like how this article breaks down the Sales/Orders report options in a way that actually feels practical rather than overwhelming, especially for anyone trying to track performance and make smarter decisions. The ability to filter, customize, and analyze different metrics really stands out because it gives you a clearer picture of what’s working and what needs improvement. It reminded me a bit of how something like the Tierra Mia Menu offers a variety of choices that let you tailor your experience based on your preferences—having options just makes everything more effective when used right. Do you think businesses are really taking full advantage of these reporting features, or are they only scratching the surface?

This is actually a common limitation in OpenCart reports. By default, the system focuses on products but doesn’t break things down by options like size or color, which is really important for clothing stores.
One workaround is to check the order details table (order_option) in the database and generate a custom report from there. Some store owners also use reporting extensions or modify admin reports to include option-level data like sizes.
It would definitely be useful if OpenCart added this feature natively, especially for inventory planning.
On a side note, while exploring different platforms and communities for solutions, I came across WinPKR, where people sometimes share practical tips and setups around apps and systems. Interesting to see how different communities approach similar problems.

A sales/orders report is an important business document that provides a detailed overview of transactions within a specific period. It typically includes key options such as date range selection, product or service categories, customer details of Bhavna Vaswani, order status, payment methods, and total revenue generated. Advanced reports may also offer filters for region, salesperson performance, and order fulfillment status, helping businesses analyze trends more effectively.

“I was digging through our sales report last week trying to filter by date range and payment status—felt just as picky as when I test my reef tank’s calcium levels. Had to pull up a mg ltr to ppm Conversion Calculator to confirm the numbers matched before trusting the dashboard. Turns out 1 mg/L is 1 ppm, same way a good report needs options like product, customer, and order total to actually be useful.”

Thanks for sharing this detailed overview of the Sales Order report. The filtering options are very practical for analyzing open orders and shipment status more effectively. Date based filters like range or period to date make it easier to study performance over time. Sorting by different fields such as order number or customer ID helps quickly locate specific records. Overall it is a useful system for tracking and managing sales data in an organized way.Looking forward to reading more informative https://medium.com/@chris.essey like this.

Including product options like clothing sizes in sales and order reports would be extremely useful for store management and inventory planning. Detailed reporting can help businesses better understand customer preferences and improve stock management for different product variations. Similar detailed analytics are also valuable for android game platforms and digital product communities.

You can get this by querying the order items and their associated product option values (e.g., size) rather than only the parent product. If you're using OpenCart, a custom SQL report or a reporting extension that includes order option data should solve this. Click here

You can try exporting your orders to CSV and including product option data if your platform supports it. If not, you'll likely need a reporting extension or a custom report, since standard order reports usually don't break products down by options like size. Visit

Great suggestion! Reports that include product options would save merchants a lot of time when reviewing orders. I also enjoy using Spinning Wheel Online for quick random decisions during team discussions and planning sessions. Hopefully this enhancement gets implemented. https://kolofortunygra.pl/0 -
If you're only using product options like size or color, it's surprising that they aren't included in the default sales reports. Those details are often essential for inventory planning and reordering, not just total product counts. If an extension isn't available, exporting the order data with option values or querying the
order_optiontable directly may be the most practical workaround. I came across مياه صالحة للشرب while reading about organizing service requests, and it reinforced how much more useful reporting becomes when the underlying details are included instead of just high-level totals.0 -
I noticed you're looking for a report that shows orders with product options, which would be particularly valuable for tracking size preferences for clothing sales. Unfortunately, after scouring the extensions and community forum, it seems like this feature is still not available. The discussion from 2012, while somewhat outdated, highlights the ongoing demand for such a report - I hope we can see a more detailed solution emerge soon, almost as effectively as how event phone clinic rewards help businesses stay ahead of the competition.

I was really impressed with how the Anilab team prioritized community building within their platform, especially when they how to get anilab apk is mentioned as a focal point in your article. I completely understand this because I'd also want my order reports to include product options like sizes instead of only showing the total number of shirts sold. Having that level of detail makes inventory planning and purchasing much more accurate. If I were dealing with larger datasets or needed to improve reporting and system performance, I'd look into experts like MyDBOPS, whose database migration services and database expertise can help businesses organize and optimize their data for better reporting and scalability.

I agree this should be a built-in feature. For stores selling clothing or products with multiple variations, seeing only the total quantity sold isn't enough. Reports that include options like size or color would make inventory planning much easier and reduce manual work. Hopefully OpenCart adds this functionality in a future update, as it would benefit many store owners. Click here
